Description
This is a solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format inSubpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. A written solicitation will be issued. The Government anticipates awarding a contract for suppling and placing Bermuda sod at the Naval Support Activity in Millington, TN. Scope of Work for Supplying and Placement of Bermuda Sod: The work consists of supplying and placing Bermuda grass sod as needed at the Naval Support Activity in Millington, Tennessee. Contract work includes final grading of backfilled sites, placement of sod and watering as required. Job superintendent will provide, at a minimum, 24 hours notice for placement of sod. Sod must be high quality, weed free Bermuda sod. Sod must be guaranteed to live for one year from date of placement. All equipment used for final grading of the site, delivery of sod, and placement of sod must be in good working order. The job superintendent will inspect all equipment to assure it meets the requirement of this scope of work and complies with all Corps of Engineers safety requirements. Any equipment found to be unsuitable will be removed from the job site and replaced with suitable equipment. Any leaking fluids from equipment will be cause to find that equipment unsuitable for use at the job site. All work on the job site will be in accordance with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers safety and quality control guidelines. All personnel must follow Navy security procedures including acquisition of security badge and/or background check before work can proceed. All contractor vehicles will require a security sticker for access to the base. No separate payment will be made for time required to acquire security badges and vehicle stickers for personnel, but should be included in the unit price for Bermuda sod. Contractor shall submit completed clause 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and Certifications, Commercial Items.
