- THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS NOT A NOTICE OF SOLICITATION ISSUANCE. THIS IS A NOTIFICATION FOR INDUSTRY DAY. The Air Force Center for Engineering and the Environment (AFCEE), Brooks City-Base, TX, is planning to contract with small business firms to perform Environmental, Construction and Operations & Services 2009 (ECOS09). The ECOS09 contract will be a tool for AFCEE to provide Government customers' access to competent small business contractors to satisfy their construction and environmental operations and services needs. The ECOS09 contract offers a broad range of construction, repair, and demolition work to include both traditional and environmental construction. Work ordered under the contract will be that arising from, driven by, or in support of the worldwide AFCEE mission. In addition, this contract will provide operations and services for environmental conservation, compliance, pollution prevention and clean-up activities, and will include ordnance removal and disposal, and energy management. The ECOS09 program is the follow-on to the ECOS program. The draft ECOS09 solicitation will be posted to FedBizOps (https://www.fbo.gov) and the AFCEE ECOS09 website (https://www.afceeprivweb.brooks.af.mil/pkv/ecos09/default.asp) on or about September 8, 2008. AFCEE anticipates the award of Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts to multiple firms using NAICS code 562910. AFCEE currently anticipates awarding approximately 5-8 contracts to small businesses. AFCEE reserves the right to adjust the total awards based on the quality and quantity of proposals received. Industry Day is for the purposes of collecting market research in support of the AFCEE ECOS09 program. Contractors must register through the ECOS09 website to attend Industry day no later than September 9, 2008 at http://www.afcee.brooks.af.mil/pkv/ecos09/industryday/. The ECOS09 Industry Day will be held at Hotel Valencia, 150 E Houston Street, San Antonio TX 78205. Registration is restricted to Prime Contractors only with a limit of three (3) attendees per prime contractor, one of which attendees must be the prime. NO EXCEPTIONS. (Ex: one attendee prime plus two attendees subcontractors; two attendees prime plus one attendee subcontractor; three attendees prime; etc.) For your convenience, AFCEE has reserved 65 sleeping rooms for Monday, September 15, 2008, and 25 sleeping rooms for Tuesday, September 16, 2008.
