Description
ONE iLAB CART ULTRASOUND IMAGING SYSTEM -- The North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Healthcare System, Gainesville, FL intends to negotiate and procure on a sole source basis a ONE iLAB CART ULTRASOUND IMAGING SYSTEM, 1 Boston Scientific Place, Natick, MA 01760-1537. Equipment is for the VA Medical Center Cath Lab, Gainesville, FL. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other vendor or product will satisfy agency requirements. To the best of our knowledge Boston Scientific is the only company that can provide this specific equipment. The ONE iLAB CART ULTRASOUND IMAGING SYSTEM, Model M004EpiL120CART0, is the only product that is approved for intravascular ultrasound and intracardiac ultrasound use, (NAICS 334510). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any vendor that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within ten (10) calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis, under VA-248-08-RP-0494, Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information can be sent to the Contracting Specialist via e-mail at Brian.Shepard@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the NF/SG VHS will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Boston Scientific as noted herein. Cost associated with the preparation and submission of information and/or any follow-up information requests are the responsibility of the vendor and these costs will not be reimbursed by the Government.
