- 1. This is an amendment to combine synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with Format Subpart 12.6, and to amendment issued August 06, 2008. 2. An Amendment is being issued to this solicitation, Request for Quote FA4800-08-Q-LN-01. 3. The closing date for this Request for Quote is being extended to August 27, 2008. In addition the Description of salient characteristics for requirements is amended to include the following: a. Flywheel weight range shall be from 40 lbs to 50 lbs to provide for a stable and effective workout. b. Flywheel must have a protective cover enhancing the safety aspect protecting users from possible injury and flywheel from damages due to foreign debris. c. Must have coast capability. d. Must have 4 way seat adjustments front and back, up and down. e. Frame must be corrosion and rust resistant, light weight and easily maneuverable 4. Potential offers must be aware that the items being acquired are procured as Brand Name or Equal. For those items that are "or equal", a description of the salient characteristics are outlined in original and Amendment 0001, and as amended above. The FAR Clause 52.211-6 Brand Name or Equal applies to this acquisition. Any items quoted as equal not confirming to the requirements of clause 52.211-6 will be considered non-responsive and not considered for award. 5. Quotes are to be received no later than 1200 hours, Local Time, Wednesday, 27 August 2008 at e-mail address: lois.nicholson.ctr@langley.af.mil and to anissa.ragland@langley.af.mil Subject: Quote FA4800-08-Q-LN-01 {Vendor Name}.
