- INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The VA Mid-Atlantic Healthcare Region (VISN6) Central Acquisition Service intends to procure sole source with the Siemens Energy Management Systems at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Fayetteville and Durham for a period of one year and two option years. The place of performance will in Fayetteville, North Carolina and Durham, North Carolina. The procurement is to provide service, labor, updates and necessary training for all Siemens APOGEE equipment and software located at the VAMC Fayetteville and Durham, North Carolina. The procurement will include a monthly maintenance, inspections and repair for the Siemens Energy Management System at the VAMC in Fayetteville and Durham. This procurement will also include, but is not limited to, periodic software upgrades and calibration of equipment that controls HVAC, lighting, fire and smoke control and other associate equipment that support patient environmental comfort. NAICS code 811219 applies to this procurement. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotations. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations. Interested parties who believe they can meet this requirement must submit information about their capabilities no later than 2:00pm, EST on August 29, 2008. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. This award will be made using simplified acquisition procedures. No solicitation will be made available. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted.
