- THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Subpart 12.6 updated through FAC 05-26 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation No. BAQ080062 is issued as a Request for Quotes (RFQ). This document incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-26, and apply to this acquisition: 52.212-1 and 52.212-2. Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items, addendum to include FAR clauses 52.215-5 and 52.212-4. Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial items. This solicitation provided for full and open competition. Contractors submitting a quotation must be registered in the Central Contracting Registration web site. The address to register is www.ccr.gov. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 332420 Metel Tank (Heavy Gauge) Manufacturing.REQUIREMENT: The Bureau of Land Management, Bakersfield Field Office, CA has a requirement to first remove, dismantle and dispose of old Cooper tank and second deliver and install one 250 barrel steel bolted water tank on existing gravel pad; including standard accessories and a factory powder coating. The thak will conform to AWWA Standard D 103-97 for Factory-Coated Bolted Steel Tanks for Water Storage. The tank shall be constructed from carbon steel and the minimum steel thickness from the top, bottom, and shell shall be 0.094 inches. All vertical, horizontal, shell-to-roof and shell-to-bottom plates or sheets shall be field bolted. The tank shall be designed for seismic zone 4, 100 MPH wind conditions, and a minimum deck live load of 25 lb/sq. ft. Factory coating will be interior and exterior surfaces. The color of the tank will be selected by the Government from the manufacturer's list of colors. Accessories: 2 manholes - minimum 24 inch diameter hinged, roof vent manuf. with screen vent, flush cleanout 24 x 46 inch, exteriro ladder, two 2 inch NPT outlet for overflow, level indicator, one 2 inch NPT outlets/female, one 2 inch NPT female internal and external (for copy of diagram please contact me so that I can email). Tank diminsions consits of the following: Circumference 48 ft x 7inches, Hight 8 ft x 0 inches, Diameter 15 ft x 6 inches, and Level indictor 12 in x 12in.
