- The 96th Contracting Squadron, Eglin AFB, Florida intends to award a sole source, commercial, firm-fixed price purchase order to L3 Communications, San Leandro CA, for a Visionmaster 150kv flash Xray and associated components. This system must be fully integrated and backwards compatible to currently deployed Flash xray equipment. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. The announcement number is F1TBAM8198A001. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 334517 with a size standard of 500 employees. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals/quotes. However, the government will consider all responses received within 5 days of publication. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Please identify your business size in your response based upon this standard. The requirement consists of the following items: CLIN 0001, (1 EA); 150KV Flash X-Ray. Includes: Cabinet-mounted controls, variable delay trigger system, 6M (20ft) interconnecting cable assembly, 130-235000 pulser, and one 130-529000 Single X-Ray Tube. PN 43731A CLIN 0002, (1 EA); Channel; Add-On 150 KV Flash X-Ray. Includes: Variable delay trigger system, 6M (20ft) interconnecting cable assembly, 130-235000 pulser, and one 130-529000 Single X-Ray Tube. PN 43731A-#001 CLIN 0003, (2 EA); Modification; Straight-Line Remote Tubehead. Includes: Tubehead adapter and tubehead with 6M (20ft) tubehead cable. PN 43731A-#032 CLIN 0004, (1 EA); Remote Control; Of H.V. Power Supply. (Does Not Include Computer). PN 130-314700-#007 CLIN 0005, (1 EA); Shipping The delivered system must have the following features and capabilities: 1. Control Cabinet. 2. Solid state high voltage power supply providing local or remote control with a GFE computer. 3. Trigger, delay, and pulse event functions must be all in one and contolled locally or remotely by the GFE computer. 4. Gas control must be fully functional and backward compatible to existing gas controls and air system. 5. Flash x-ray pulsers must be interchangeable in form and function to existing equipment. 6. Remote tubeheads must be sealed, and plug and play configuration. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-26.
