Description
The 96th Contracting Squadron, Eglin AFB, Florida intends to award a sole source, commercial, firm-fixed price purchase order to Americon, Camarillo CA, for a Visionmaster wall expansion module. The form, fit, and function must interface compatibly with the current system, custom designed by Americon to operate within a limited space. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. The announcement number is F1TBBB8170A001. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 334310 with a size standard of 750 employees. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals/quotes. However, the government will consider all responses received within 5 days of publication. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Please identify your business size in your response based upon this standard. The requirement consists of the following items: CLIN 0001, (1 EA) VisionMaster Video Wall Expansion, to include all installation and freight; P/N VM4E, described as follows: An upgrade to an existing Visionmaster video wall and display processor is required. The system is used to increase the scientific data display capability in AFRL/RWGG in support of several ongoing programs. The current system is comprised of three stacks of two rear projection video panels forming a continuous 3x2 video screen and a display processor. A matching stack of two displays and an upgraded processor capable of driving eight or more displays at real-time frame rates is required. The new video stack of two displays must be form/fit and function compatible with the existing panels. The displays must use identical or functionally identical projectors so that the resultant 4 by 2 display is uniform in brightness, color, and resolution. The displays must line up with the existing displays with a minimal gap at the adjoining seam. The video stack furniture must exactly match the color and design of the existing display furniture. The new video processor must be able to drive the 6 existing and 2 new display projectors. It must be able to simultaneously display inputs from up to eight RGB sources (1024 x 768 or better), and 16 composite video inputs on the video wall as a seamless single display. It must also have a removable hard disk, Ethernet capability, PCI Express bus structure, 2 GB of RAM, and be capable of 24/7 operation.
