Description
The NCI - Office of Acquisition has received questions regarding this combined synopsis/solicitation. Please see below. QUESTION: I wanted to understand a specific component of the scope of work in NCI solicitation number RFQNCI80108NG01 – Ghana Prostate Study. Specifically the tasks for the study include a step “Conduct interviews using the forms provided by NCI”. It is labeled as a medical abstraction form – a summary of each case that is part of the study. Answer: Both in-person interview and medical record abstraction will be conducted, using the forms developed by NCI. QUESTION: I would like to understand NCI’s approach to data collection involving interviews/surveys in support of clinical research. In this project the survey instrument is previously developed. While that makes for effective controls on cross study data comparison, there are site specific factors that may require modification to the survey. The questionnaire has been developed and used in part of the study, so there will be no changes to this tool. I didn’t understand the scope of work to include what done with the survey data once it is collected – the specimens yes, but not the survey data. Is there someone in the program office that I could speak with to understand how the data is entered into a case system for analysis and if that is part of the scope of this project or if that is work performed in Bethesda? Answer: The data will be entered in Ghana twice (for accuracy) and then transferred to NCI. Statistical analysis will be carried out at NCI.
