- Amendment to Quote Format Based on additional information gathered, USUHS is requesting a quote with the following price breakdown in lieu of the previous format. The contractor shall provide pricing for the following options by Contract Line Item Number (CLIN): Option 1 CLIN Quantity Description 0001 1 Sand Blasting and Painting the current 900 Gallon Tank (already in place) Option 2 CLIN Quantity Description 0001 1 Removal and Dispose of the Existing tank (minus the salvage value) Option 3 CLIN Quantity Description 0001 1 900 Gallon Liquid Nitrogen Tank 0002 1 Installation and set up; include testing and 1 full tank 0003 1 Shipping Charges Option 4 CLIN Quantity Description 0001 1 1500 Gallon Liquid Nitrogen Tank 0002 1 Installation and set up; include testing and 1 full tank 0003 1 Shipping Charges To be considered, please provide the specs and literature documentation for the Liquid Nitrogen Bulk Vessel and details of each complete task. All quotes from responsible sources will be considered. Quotes shall be accepted by email only. No other methods of submission will be accepted. Email to the attention of Genelle Hou at ghou@usuhs.mil and timothy.bunting@usuhs.mil (as a secondary contact). Quotes must be valid for any option/quantity. Quotes are due on or before 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, 27 August 2008. Questions and Answers from the site visit dated 20 August 2008 at 10:00 a.m. Q. Will it be necessary to replace the piping and telemetry system when replacing the Liquid Nitrogen Tank? A. Assume all piping and the telemetry system shall be changed to accommodate for the new tank. This shall ensure the compatibility of the system. Q. Will liquid nitrogen product to initially fill the tank be required? A. Yes. Once installed, it would be necessary to fill the tank with liquid nitrogen to test the installation and start up. Q. Will the vendor be responsible for providing a backup for users during the time of removal and installation of the liquid nitrogen tank? A. It is not necessary to provide a backup during replacement of the tank. USUHS will be able to provide their own backup at that time.
