- Provide professional multi disciplined design services for AE projects at the Veteran Affairs Medical Center, Tomah, WI. Services include site investigations, analysis, design, calculations, preparation of working drawings and specifications, cost estimating, construction period services, as-builts and site visits during construction are part of the scope. Typical projects could include ward renovations, clinic designs and site improvements. The company must have the capability to design a complete healthcare renovation or addition. This would include the services of certified and registered professionals. Area of consideration is limited to a 200 mile driving radius of Tomah, WI. The VA intends to award two contracts for a period of one (1) year, with an option for two (2) additional years each. Total amount of proposed contracts including option years shall not exceed $2,000,000.00. Each Task Order issued shall not exceed $450,000.00. Submit two (2) copies of the SF 330 with appropriate documentation by close of business September 29, 2008. Mail information to: Great Lakes Acquisition Center, Wm S Middleton VA Hospital, 2500 Overlook Terrace (A-1), Attention: Lydia A. Falk, Contract Specialist, Madison, WI 53705-2254. Selection criteria will be based on: 1) specialized experience and technical competence of the firm (including a joint venture or association) with the type of design required; 2) specific experience and qualifications of personnel proposed for assignment to the project; 3) professional capacity of the firm in the designated geographic area of the project to perform work; 4) past record of performance on contracts with the Department of Veterans Affairs; 5) geographic location and facilities of the working office(s); and 6) demonstrated success in prescribing the use of recovered materials and achieving waste reduction and energy efficiency in facility design; and 7) construction cost control effectiveness. No bid packages are available. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP). NAICS 541330 applies. The small business standard is $4.5m; an Emerging Small Business size standard is half the size of a small business. This requirement is set aside for an Emerging Small Business. Award is subject to the availability of funds.
