Description
This sources sought is a request for information prior to drafting and releasing any resultant solicitation. The information contained in this sources sought notification is based on the best and most current information available to date, is subject to change and is not binding on the Government. Any significant changes will be provided in subsequent synopsis, if required. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) is seeking potential sources capable of providing the items listed below. DSCA's Humanitarian Demining Training Center (HDTC) in the process of establishing and updating training areas, educational displays and deployment packages for mobile training teams (MTT). The inert landmines and rockets listed below will be used exclusively by the Humanitarian Demining Training Center (HDTC). The ability to present and work with real-world ordnance, mines and sub-munitions is a vital aspect of individual soldier safety and mine awareness training. These items will ensure that HDTC staff can meet their mission to provide specialized instruction and assistance to US Forces deploying to mine-affected countries around the world. This program and training center advances national goals and objectives, enhances socio-economic reform and recovery, and supports the Global War on Terror (GWOT) through international engagement. 1. YUGOSLAV LANDMINE, APERS, PMA-2 Quantity: 10 5. U.S.S.R. Landmine, Anti-Pers, Directional, MON-50 Quantity: 10 6. VS-50 Blast Antipersonnel (APERS) LANDMINE Quantity: 10 7. U.S.S.R. GRENADE, 70-MM, HEAT, ROCKET-PROPELLED, MODEL PG-7M Quantity: 10 8. ITALIAN LANDMINE, APERS, VALMARA 69 Quantity: 10 If you are interested in competing for this requirement, please indicate your interest by sending an e-mail no later than 29 August 2008 11:00 A.M. In addition, to assist in the acquisition strategy development, please provide the followinginformation: 1) Is your business a large business or small business [Small Disadvantaged, Woman-Owned, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, etc.]? (For the purpose of determining your business size, the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS), 541513 with a size standard of $21.0 M average annual receipts over the past three years, will be utilized for this acquisition). 2) Other Pertinent Information: E-mail responses without the aforementioned information will not be recognized as valid. RESPONSES TO THIS SYNOPSIS MUST BE VIA E-MAIL. QUESTIONS AND REQUESTS FOR SOLICITATIONS VIA TELEPHONE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Submit responses no later than 29 August 2008 11:00 A.M. EDT. Your response is limited to 5 pages. NO SOLICITATION EXISTS AT THIS TIME.
