- The U.S. Army Installation Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland intends to issue a sole source firm fixed price award to VATELL CORPORATION, 240 CORPORATION, CHRISTIANSBURG, VA. 24073-7902 in accordance with FAR Part 13.5 and under the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other will satisfy the agency's requirements. The Aberdeen Test Center is seeking to procure the following items: TG 2000-42C HEAT FLUX SENSOR; AMP-11 AMPLIFIER. The Heat Flux Sensors have been custom designed by the Vatell Corp. and are designed to meet the absorbed energy measurement for crew burn criteria as established by Walther Reed Hospital. Vatell Corp. is the sole manufacturer of the above referenced items and the designs are propreitary. Interested vendors may identify their interest, in writing, to the Government Point of Contact listed, Stephanie Gray, stephanie.gray5@us.army.mil. All responses must be received withing 5 days after date of publication of this synopsis in order to be considered by the Government. Responses to this notice must be received no later than 11:00 AM, Eastern Standard Time,29 August 2008. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or a solicitation of offers.
