- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District, is issuing this Sources Sought announcement for the creation of an interpretive display for the Quechee Gorge Visitor Center, North Hartland Lake, North Hartland, Vermont.. The work will consist of creating one (1) wall-mounted display with moving parts showing significant natural/historic events occurring in the Center area over time with photographs, both color and black and white, illustrating the story. The exhibit will be displayed in a visitor center that services tens of thousands of visitors per year. The exhibit will be wall-mounted, with a 3 x 4 photograph backdrop. The backdrop should be fabricated of a material that is resistant to fading from constant exposure to fluorescent lighting. The backdrop will be encased in a light metal frame with a track system. Within this frame will be five (5) plexiglass sliding panels that will pull out individually over the backdrop. The sliding panels will have photographs and text provided by the staff at North Hartland Lake superimposed on them. The NAICS code for this procurement is 339950 with a small business standard of 500 employees. The estimated project cost is under $25,000. Responses are due no later than 17 September 2008 and should be addressed to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District, 696 Virginia Road, Concord, MA 01742, ATTN: Mr. Norman Krause. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this market survey nor return the data provided.
