- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 and 13.5, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will NOT be issued. This is a Request For Quote (RFQ) and the solicitation number is W911S1-08-T-0063. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-26 effective 12 June 2008. FedBizOps Numbered Notes per FAR Part 5.207-13(e) apply: 12 and 13. The North American Industry Classification System code (NAICS) is 611692, Automobile Driving Schools. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 8299 Schools & Educational Services. This requirement is being solicited as a small business set-aside and the size standard is $6.5M. A firm fixed price contract will be awarded. Award will be made to the vendor which offers the best value to the government. The Government also reserves the right to make no award at all. DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT: Contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, and materials, necessary to provide a six-hour Drunk Driving Simulator presentation. Included in the presentation is a fully immersive multi-screen state-of-the-art drunk driving simulator, minimum of 225 degree of field vision, force feedback steering, recorded/produced sounds and fully textured 3D graphics with shading and lighting effects, five different continuously running informational video presentations, participants attending the presentation receive a ticket showing the number of violations committed during their simulation, single screen Rabbit training simulator which will acclimate the participates into driving in a virtual world (this is a precursor to using the actual drunk driving simulator), distribute a minimum of 100 Live Strong style bracelets which identify designated drivers, two 8 x 10 projection screens showing participant experience in Drunk Driving Simulator, two 6 x 8 rear projection monitors and three 27 inch monitors, an actual casket with display sign Reserved for the Next Victim of Drunk Driver, a minimum four thought provoking display banners, color posters, table tents, buttons, yellow emergency lighting that draws attention of the event. Period of Performance: September 15-17, 2008 Hours: 10:00 am - 4:00 pm each day DELIVERY ADDRESS: Training is being procured on behalf of Fort Dix Alcohol & Drug Abuse Office. The location of training will be held at the Timmerman Theater, 8th & Pennsylvania Avenues, Fort Dix, NJ 08640.
