- CONSTRUCTION - REPLACE ROOFS ON TWO (2) FAA FACILITIES IN HARLINGEN AND MCALLEN, TEXAS SOLICITATION DTFASW-08-R-00113POINT OF CONTACT: ROSE MARIE MENDOZA, CONTRACTING OFFICER, 817-222-4338 The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking competent and qualified small business roofing construction contractors interested in providing offers for roofing projects at the Airport Traffic Control Tower and existing base building, located at Harlingen, Texas, and the Very High Frequency Omnidirectional Range (VOR) facility, located at McAllen, Texas. The FAA is seeking contractors who are certified to install a fully adhered single-ply roofing system manufacturer by Duro-Last or an approved equal. All work shall be accomplished according to the plans and specifications that will be provided. 1. Contract performance time for Harlingen site is 21 calendar days, and the McAllen site is 30 calendar days. Projects are not likely to be done concurrently2. This construction is being procured as a Small Business Set-Aside3. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 238160 and the small business size standard is $13.0 Million4. The dollar range for this procurement is between $75,000 and $150,0005. There will be a scheduled Pre-bid/Site visit. Details will be included in solicitation. FAA urges and expects offerors to inspect the site where the work will be performed. 6. Contractor is expected to perform at least 15 % of the work utilizing the contractor's own employees7. Contractor MUST be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) before contract award. Contractors can register on-line at http://www.ccr.gov THE SUCCESSFUL OFFER MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING GO/NO GO CRITERIA: a. Roofing membrane system installer shall have at least (5) years experience and shall be certified by the roofing membrane manufacturer for installation THE CONTRACTOR MUST SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTATION AT THE TIME SOLICITATION IS REQUESTED 1. BUSINESS DECLARATION 2. REFERENCES, PAST PERFORMANCE FROM (3) SIMILAR PROJECTS - The contractor must provide the name of the facility where work was performed, contract number, dollar amount, and a point of contact at the facility and telephone number This information MUST BE submitted with the request for specifications and plans. The Request for Offer Package is expected to be available on or before September 2, 2008. Contractors must submit their request for this package no later than NOON (CDT) by September 2, 2008. Contractors must provide their company name, physical mailing address, telephone number and FAX number and complete AND submit the two documents. FAILURE TO SUBMIT ALL REQUIRED INFORMATION WILL DEEM THE REQUEST FOR SOLICITATION AS NON-RESPONSIVE.
