- Description
- The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute Of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) intends to procure a QuantEM 512SC EMCCD Camera and components from Roper Scientific (DBA) Photometrics, 3440 E. Britannia Drive, Tucson, AZ 85706. The system will consist of the following: 1.P/N: Quantem: 512SC QuantEM 512SC EMCCD camera: 512x512 back-illuminated imaging array / 16 x 16um pixels. (31 frames/second full frame with binning 1x1; 10MHz). The QuantEM offers true 16bit quantitation and stability through an intelligent FPGA design and IEEE 1394 connectivity. This design offers a self calibrating linearization of the EM Gain and prevents bias drift over time. Furthermore, patent-pending PAR offers stabilization which patent-pending ACE technology enables superior timing resolution of the devices pixel clocks, allowing optimal signal-to-noise sampling and minimizing spurious charge Quantity of (1 EA)2.P/N: DV2-SYS - DV2 2-channel imager for use with a single CCD Cascade II 1024B on an Olympus IX70 with a monochromater light source. Splits the microscope emission into 2 temporally identical channels and projects each onto the same CCD allowing 2 channels to be imaged simultaneously - Quantity of (1 EA)3.P/N: DV2-Cube DV2 filter cube - Quantity of (1EA)4.P/N: MS-MC-91018 Filter cube for an Olympus IX-70 - Quantity of (1 EA)5.P/N: 30-TEM MS-565LDT, MS-510T/30-25, MS-650T/70-25 - Quantity of (1 EA )6.P/N: 30-TEX MS-ET-GFP/mRFP-BS, MS-ET-GFP/mFRP-X - Quantity of (1 EA)7.P/N: MS-51022M MS-51022M, GFP-mRFP Dual emission filter for Olympus cube - Quantity of (1 EA) This procurement will allow the NICHD to obtain a high sensitivity 512x512 back-thinned CCD camera with a dual-view system to be used on the Total Internal Reflection Fluorescence (TIRF) Microscope currently in the lab. There is a need amongst the core users to simultaneously image two fluorescent proteins in TIRF mode. The QuantEM 512SC EMCCD Camera and its components will successfully address the need of the core users. The QuantEM Camera speed and sensitivity is also compatible at an acceptable level with the existing TIRF imaging platform. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations however, all responses received, within 15 days from the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed acquisition is based upon responses to this notice and is solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive acquisition. Offerors may request a copy of the Request for Quotation (RFQ) in writing or by FAX to the Contracting Office prior to the closing date of this notice. It is anticipated that the RFQ# NIHDK2008125 will be available fifteen (15) days after the publication of this synopsis. Receipts of quotations will be due seven (7) days after the release of the RFQ. If you have any questions regarding this announcement, please contact Tina Robinson via email. Request for copies of the RFQ must be submitted to the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive Kidney Diseases, 6707 Democracy Boulevard, Two Democracy Plaza, Room 774B, Bethesda, MD 20817 or via email: Robinsti@mail.nih.gov to the Attention: Tina Robinson.
