Description
The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Disease (NIDDK) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis, with Ingenious Targeting Lab, Inc., 25 Health Sciences Drive, LIHTI Building, Suite 106, Stony Brook, NY to procure a Mouse Knockout Model (Construction of conditional targeting vector & cloning of mouse genomic DNA). The Contractor shall create one (1) mouse knockout model and present the customer with two (2) germline transmission mice. Germline transmission mice will contain the neomycin selection cassette. This action is under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253c (1) as set forth in FAR 6.3020-1. Only one responsible source and no other service of this nature will satisfy agency requirements. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received before the closing date of this announcement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed acquisition is based upon responses to this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government. It is anticipated that Request for Quotation (RFQ), NIHDK2008072 will be available fifteen days (15) after the publication of this synopsis. Receipt of quotations will be due five (5) days after the release of the RFQ. Request for copies of the RFQ must be in writing to the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, 6707 Democracy Blvd., Room 774A, Bethesda, MD, 20817 Attention: Lisa Josephowitz, josephol@mail.nih.gov FAX quotations must contain offerors names, address, telephone and fax number. FAX quotations will only be accepted if dated and signed by an authorized company representative.
