- This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 12.6, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures under the test program for commercial items found at FAR 13.5, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. This combined synopsis/solicitation SHALL be posted on both FEDBIZOPPS (https://www.fbo.gov) and NECO (http://www.neco.navy.mil/). The RFQ number is N00189-08-T-0753. This solicitation documents and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through FAC 2005-26 and DFARS Change Notice 20080812. It is the responsibility of the contractor to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. The proposed contract is 100% set aside for small business concerns. The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center Norfolk VA requests responses from qualified sources capable of providing the following: a total of three ( 3 ) Lunchbox Computers with the following minimum requirements: Screen: Daylight readable screen ( >900 NITS), 15 minimum (1028 x 768 min), Power Supply: 450W min, Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 2.4GHz or better, Ram: 2 GB min, DVD: DVDRW min, Hard Drive: 250 GB min, OS: MS Windows XP Professional, Frame: metal/alloy, Cooling fans: 2 min, PCI card slots: 2 min, Hard shell carrying case, Keyboard: full size with touchpad, Weight: 25lbs max, Dimensions: Max depth 9, Max height 13, Max width 17. Delivery is 15 September 2008; Delivery Location is Annapolis MD. Responsibility and Inspection: unless otherwise specified in the order, the supplier is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements and quality control. This procurement is for Electronic and Information Technology (EIT). Effective June 25, 2001, the Federal government implemented Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Amendments of 1998 (29 U.S.C. S 794(d)). Section 508 requires that the federal government only acquire electronic and information technology goods and services that provide for access by persons with disabilities.
