- THIS SOLICITATION IS DUE SEPTEMBER 23, 2008, NOT SEPTEMBER 18, 2008 AS BIDDERS PACKET STATES. The solicitation for this project will be posted to FED BIZ OPPS on or about July 11, 2008. The Forest Service is acquiring services for the production, packing and delivery of container grown tree seedlings and native plants (to be referred to as seedlings in remainder of contract) from Government-furnished seed for the Mt Hood, Umatilla and Wallowa-Whitman National Forests of Region 6, Oregon and Washington, eastside and westside. Both fall and winter extraction seasons are prescribed.. For physiological reasons correlated to the nursery-outplant site climate inter-relationship, the location where the seedlings shall be produced shall be located in Oregon (or within 100 miles of these stated boundaries). The solicitation will result in a Requirements (also known as Task Order) type contract spanning 5 years. Estimated start work date is in October, 2008.
