Description
Project 630-07-111, Emergency Power Deficiencies Description:This notice is for project, "Emergency Power Deficiencies," at the VA Medical Center, 423 East 23rd Street, New York, NY 10010. This shall be a Service Disabled Small Business Set-Aside (SDVOSB). As a result, all SDVOSB's may submit a bid, which shall be considered by the agency. The project falls under NAICS Code 238210, and has a Small Business Standard of 14 Million. The estimated price range for this project is $500,000 to $1,000,000, respectively. The work for this requirement consists of, but is not limited to: The work includes but is not limited to the installation of a new system including rigging, supplementary supports, framing, testing and commissioning, painting, cutting, patching and fireproofing. Other work includes but is not limited to: 1)Installing a new 600A rated, 416V switch in the high voltage room (building 5) first floor. 2)Provide provisions to energize the 416V switchgear from a portable generator. 3)Power Connections: 4160V, 3 Phase, 60 Hz power systems. 4)New 416V portable cabling installed from the 600A portable generator switch. 5)Kirk-Key interlock system. 6)Purchase of new switchgear from Square D. 7)Cutting of slab beneath new switchgear cubicle. 8)Installation of cable tray. 9)Coordination of work with VA employees. Other details/information is in the solicitation which shall be posted on www.fedbizopps.gov The anticipated release date of the IFB is August 26, 2008 and the anticipated closing date is September 26, 2008. The bid submittal address and time is included in the solicitation. This project requires bonding and bid submissions shall be in hardcopies and not e-mailed or faxed. All bidders shall be registered and verified in the www.ccr.gov and www.vetbiz.gov and www.orca.bpn.gov Completion time is 120 calendar days from notice to proceed. A Pre-Bid Conference shall be held on September 9, 2008 at 9:30a.m. at the VA Medical Center, Engineering/Annex Building Room 133-A, 423 East 23rd Street, New York, NY 10010. Offerors are urged to inspect the site where the work will be performed. Award is subject to availability of funding.
