Description

THIS SYNOPSIS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Patuxent River, MD intends to negotiate on a sole-source basis with Wind River Systems, Inc., 500 Wind River Way, Alameda, California 94501 for the procurement of quantity of one VxWorks 5.5.1 OEM license, quantity of one support for VxWorks, quantity of one Wind Manage Web Server, quantity of one support for Wind Manager, quantity of four Tornado 2.2.1 Professional, quantity of four support for Tornado, quantity of one VxMP for VxWorks 5.5.1, and quantity of one support for VxMP. Given the nature of this effort, this sole source procurement will result in a contract for a period of performance from the date of award through 30 September 2009. The applicable NAICS Code is 511210. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C. 2304 (1) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Wind River Systems retains the proprietary data rights and is the only vendor capable of providing additional licenses. While this notice of intent is for informational purposes only and not a request for competitive proposals, interested parties may identify their interest and technical capability, respond to this requirement and may submit information, which shall be considered by NAWCAD.
