- Description
- The General Services Administration, Public Buildings Service (GSA/PBS), Physical Capital Asset Management Division (PGE) of behalf of the Office of Applied Science, intends to procure on an other than full and open competitive basis, a contract to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The contract will be procured under the authority of FAR 41.USC 253(c) (1) Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Massachusetts Institute of Technology will provide integrated workplace solutions for federal workers, and advance knowledge with regard to the acoustical design performance of workplaces. This is an other than full and open competitive action as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology is the only source available that will meet the needs of the PBS Office of Organizational Resources. The Government intends to award a firm fixed-price Purchase Order in the amount of $74,500.00, on or about September 12, 2008, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This notice of intent is not considered a Request for Quotation (RFQ) nor is it a Request for Proposals (RFP). No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirements. Additionally, any response to this notice must show clear, compelling and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the government. All information received by the POC listed below by 3:30 pm est., Wednesday, September 10, 2008, will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contracts based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Inquiries only accepted by E-Mail or FAX.
