- Description
- The 6th Contracting Squadron at MacDill Air Force Base (AFB), FL is seeking responses from interested lodging establishments to provide off-base lodging to visiting personnel. This is a Request for Information (RFI) ONLY. It is not a Request for Proposal (or solicitation) or an indication that a contractual commitment will exist for this requirement. THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT INTEND TO AWARD A CONTRACT ON THE BASIS OF THIS RFI OR OTHERWISE PAY FOR THE INFORMATION SOLICITED. The purpose of this market research (sources sought synopsis) is to determine the availability of off-base lodging within a 15-mile radius of MacDill AFB. The 6th Contracting Squadron is considering Blanket Purchase Agreements on a Firm-Fixed price basis with 5 separate lodging establishments. It is estimated that 560 rooms total (420 single occupancy and 140 double occupancy) will be needed on a monthly basis but not necessarily all at one time. For simplification purposes, we are requiring each establishment to have the ability to provide 112 rooms (560/5 = 112; 84 single occupancy and 28 double occupancy) or more at one time. Establishments are also subject to various inspections to include fire safety (NFPA Life Safety Code 101), public health and meet safety standards as outlined in AFOSH 91-001, Billeting Operations. It is important to note that prospective vendors must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration database prior to the award of a contract with the Federal Government. Please see http://www.ccr.gov/Default.aspx for additional details. Firms responding to this RFI are asked to provide the following information in their initial response: company's full name, business size, DUNS/CAGE Codes, GSA # (if applicable), address, point of contact, and a clear indication as to whether or not they can provide the item the government is seeking. In addition, please indicate if your lodging facility is already in compliance with the inspections mentioned above. The 6th Contracting Squadron is only seeking responses from actual lodging establishments and not booking agencies or a "middle man." Final responses to this RFI will be due on 03 Sep 2008, 4:00 pm EST. Responses will be reviewed and may result in further clarifications to further explore commercial capabilities with selected respondents. As industry may expect to see portions of submitted information in future solicitations, portions of the response containing proprietary information should be clearly marked as such. Information submitted will not be returned to the respective respondents. Oral submissions of information are not acceptable and will not be accepted in response to this notice. The POC for this synopsis is 2Lt Matthew Comer, Contract Specialist, Phone: (813) 828-7481; Fax (813) 828-3667, Email: matthew.comer@macdill.af.mil. Please use this contact information for any questions.
