- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included on this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is FY08NGAAMF0006DYL. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-24. The NAICS Code is 812332. The provisions at 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors – Commercial and 52.212-2 Evaluation – Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. Offerors are required to include a complete copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications – Commercial Items with your proposal. The clause at 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required Implementing Statutes or Executive Orders – Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. The NGA, as the premier art gallery in the U.S., requires uniforms that are of high quality and workmanship. Several departments within the NGA require employees to wear uniforms in the performance of their job. All uniforms to be furnished under this contract will be purchased by the NGA. In addition, the uniforms for the Housekeeping Department within Facilities Management will be laundered each week. Uniforms for the security force are not covered by this contract. However, if necessary, the NGA may award the contract to two or more separate vendors; for example, one that provides uniforms and one that provides laundry service. This contract is to obtain both uniforms and laundry service for the National Gallery of Art from a single vendor. The objective of this acquisition is to obtain both uniforms and laundry service for the NGA from a single vendor, and to limit the variety of uniforms to polo shirts, denim shirts, slacks and jeans.
