- The proposed contract action is for an acquisition for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii). The Defense Distribution Center intends to award to BAE Systems National Solutions, 11487 Sunset Hills Road, Reston, VA 20190-5228 for the purchase of 16 each SOCET GXP to include SOCET GXP IA (960-L) to include the Advanced Targeting Bundle (Classified), 960-L that consists of: 1.1 SOCET GXP Base 900-L; 1.2 SOCET GXP CGS Module 951-L; 1.3 SOCET GXP Classified Core 911-L; 1.4 SOCET GXP Flythrough 914-L; 1.5 SOCET GXP HSI/MSI 908-L; 1.6 SOCET GXP Image Comparison 903-L; 1.7 SOCET GXP Map Finishing 909-L; 1.8 SOCET GXP NIDP 961-L; 1.9 SOCET GXP Registration 904-L; 1.10 SOCET GXP SMSTK 972-L; 1.11 SOCET GXP Stereo 905-L; 1.12 SOCET GXP VCT 902-L; 1.13 SOCET GXP Video Play and Capture 973-L; and SOCET GXP IA Advanced Targeting Bundle (Classified) 960UE. BAE Systems National Solutions has been identified as the only contractor that produces the above items. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All responsible sources may respond by submitting qualifications/capabilities of the company to provide the SOCET items within five (5) days of notice to: Robbie Witmer, Contract Specialist, Defense Distribution Center, Acquisition Operations, DDC-AB, 2001 Mission Avenue, Building 404, New Cumberland, PA 17070-5000, phone: 717-770-7126, Fax: 717-770-7591 or email: Roberta.Witmer@dla.mil for consideration by the agency. If no affirmative responses are received within five (5) days of this notice to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, an order will be negotiated and awarded to BAE Systems National Solutions.
