- REQUIREMENT: The General Services Administration is seeking to lease 6,270-6,930 rentable square feet of contiguous office and related space for the Census Bureau in Springfield, Illinois together with three (3) on-site reserved parking spaces. The space must be within the delineated area described below. LOCATION: The area in Springfield, IL within the following boundaries: NORTH BOUNDARY: Take I-55 to Rte 97 West. Travel West on Rte 9//29, Rte 29 becomes E. Jefferson St, Continue on E. Jefferson St. to 6th St., head South on 6th St. to Adams St. to Site #5. Go one block south on 5th St. to Monroe, go west on Monroe to Site #3, at 3rd St. head north Adams. Head west on Adams to Site #4. Go one block north to W. Washington St. head west to Rte 4. Travel south on Rte 4 to w. Isles Ave., Go west to White Oaks and turn north on White Oaks; EAST BOUNDARY: From Rte. 72, head west onto Rte. 97/29, Rte. 97/29 splits from Rte. 97. Take Rte. 29 to Rte. 4, south on Rte. 4 to W. Iles Ave., west on W. Iles Ave. to Monterey Dr. north on Monterey Dr. to Old Jacksonville Road, east on Old Jacksonville Rd. to Rte. 4; SOUTH BOUNDARY: On I-55 North to Business Rte. 55, to Adams St., west on Adams St; WEST BOUNDARY: Rte. 97 turns into West Jefferson St. to 6th St., turn south to Adams St. *NOTE: All sites must be located within the 18th US Congressional District REQUIRED: The space must be contiguous and located on one floor in commercial, retail, industrial/flex or warehouse space. The building should have a loading dock or have forklift accessibility for deliveries. Lease should be "Full Service;" all services, supplies, utilities, and tenant alterations are to be provided as part of the rental consideration. Regularly scheduled public transportation and/or employee parking within three (3) blocks sufficient to cover commuting and visitor needs should be available. A variety of inexpensive, and moderately priced fast food and/or eat-in restaurants within three blocks, and other employee services such as retail shops, cleaners, banks, etc. should be available within one-half (1/2) mile. Property located within a base floodplain (100-year floodplain) or wetland will not be considered. The building offered must not contain asbestos. Buildings offered must be of sound and substantial construction of the type generally recognized as modern office-type buildings having fully adequate means of ingress and egress, must fully meet the Architectural Barriers Act Accessibility Standard (ABAAS) or capable of being altered to meet ABAAS. The building must also conform to current seismic requirements. LEASE TERM: Term is 16 months, 12 months firm.
