- Government Sales Contract. Furnishing all services, labor, equipment to harvest, load, and remove of all merchantable pine trees in the timber sale area except for the blue painted leave trees or seed trees on Moody Air Force Base, Georgia, Lowndes County. The timber sale area is a natural pine stand of slash and longleaf pines comprising a total of approximately 17 acres consisting of 969 tons of PINE SAWTIMBER, 26 tons of PINE CHIP-N-SAW, and 324 tons of PINE PULPWOOD AND TOPWOOD. Harvest area is to be designated by the Base Forester. ONLY electronic and written requests for solicitation packages will be accepted. Direct requests as follows: Mail to the 23 Contracting Squadron, 4380B Alabama Road Moody AFB, GA 31699-1794, e-mail to Christie.Brown@moody.af.mil, or fax to 229-257-3547 NO LATER THAN 4:00 P.M. E.S.T. on 5 Sept 2008. This solicitation will be issued via internet, Federal Business Opportunities (FBO). Include (1) business name, (2) business size, (3) address, (4) area code and telephone number, (5) fax number, (6) e-mail address, (7) preference of media or paper, (8) the solicitation number in all requests. Any amendments will be faxed or e-mailed to all contractors on the Bidders Mailing List. For contractors accessing the solicitation over the internet via FBO, it is their responsibility to check the internet site daily for any amendments that are issued. A solicitation will be available for review free of charge, at the contracting office (Moody AFB, GA). The solicitation will be available for downloading and viewing on the FBO website; Site visit information will be listed in solicitation package. Issue date will be on or about 8 Sept 2008. Standard Industrial Classification Code is 0851. Solicitation is Unrestricted.
