Description
THIS REQUIREMENT IS OPEN FOR BIDS AGAIN. REVISED DUE DATE IS 05 SEPTEMBER 2008. Questions and Answers Questions : 1. Can we use a Crestron control system instead of AMX? Are all devices that need to be controlled by the control system identified in the various SOW´s? Will the customer not be needing such in room 001 (meaning that he will have to control his entire system over the various remote controls coming with the equipment?) 2. Will the Government accept solutions that are not Polycom and/or other brand named components listed in the Solicitation for this requirement as long as they are interoperable with existing systems/networks, provide equal/superior system functionality and features to the requirements outlined in the solicitation, and are technically/functionally compliant with the mission goals/intent of the solicitation. Can we propose an alternative solution as long as it is functionally compliant or superior? 3. What is the evaluation criteria for award? 4. What contracting vehicle will be utilized by the Government? Will the Government consider utilizing the SEWP vehicle? 5. Will the Government consider a one-week extension to the due date for responses? Answers: 1. We do not intend on using the projector for VTC. We plan on sending the video to the High Definition LCD Monitors. In regards to the remote control, a Single Point Control System is required. 2. The Government will accept quotes that meet the specifications in accordance with the solicitation. It is acceptable for vendors to propose an alternative solution as long as it is IAW the solicitation, functionality compliant or superior and interoperable with existing system/network. Brand name Polycom is not mandatory. 3. Evaluation criteria is lowest price, technically acceptable. 4. Contract vehicle is to be determined. 5. Due date for quotes is extended through 05 September 2008.
