- Q1700080911. This solicitation as well as any issued amendments will be available at http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about August 22, 2008 with a quote due date of September 22, 2008. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND TELEPHONE REQUESTS OR FAX REQUESTS FOR THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.Description of Work: Install three Kohler emergency generators and automatic transfer switches (supplied by the government) at three locations within Saint-Gaudens National Historic Park in Cornish, New Hampshire. The work to be executed under this contract consists of providing all labor, materials, and equipment (except as listed) to construct concrete slabs in three locations, moving and placing the generators on the concrete pads, providing setup and wiring of the automatic transfer switches and generators to existing power panels, and start up of the generators by an authorized Kohler representative. Government furnished equipment includes: one 15KW generator with automatic transfer switch, one 50 KW generator with automatic transfer switch, and one 50KW generator with two separate transfer switches and the propane tanks. The National Park Service anticipates entering into a firm fixed-price construction contract as a result of this solicitation. This acquisition is set aside for small businesses. The NAICS code for this project is 238290, Other Building Equipment Contractors, with a small business size standard of $12 million. The contract performance period is 60 calendar days following Notice to Proceed. In accordance with FAR Section 36.204, the estimated price range for this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. Hard copy quote documents only shall be accepted for this solicitation (no faxed or electronic quote documents will be accepted). Quotes must be received at Acadia National Park, P. O. Box 177, Route 233, McFarland Hill, Bar Harbor, Maine 04609 by close of business on September 22, 2008. A complete quote package shall include one copy of completed SF 18, Request for Quotation, with original signature; completed quote schedule; and completed section K, Representations and Certifications. Award shall be made to the responsive and responsible offeror whose offer will be most advantageous to the Government, considering only price and price related factors included in the solicitation.
