Description
PLOT COMBINE Solicitation No. 2008-4431-020 The USDA, ARS, Mid South Area, is seeking to procure a Plot Combine for its Stoneville, MS location. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 2008-4431-020 is being issued as an Invitation for Bid. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-12. Offerors are to provide a bid for the following: SPECIFICATIONS: Plot combine equvilent to the specifications below. This combine is for research purpose with Standard SAE bearings, belts and sprokets readily available at local automotive and farm supply stores throughout the USA. Combine · Head is approx. 66 inches wide with belt conveyor to the threshing cylinder. · Header jackstand · Hydraulic controls · Speed control adjusted from driver's seat Cab · Two person enclosed cab with enclosure for sample-handling hoppers with bagging chute · Interior lighting · Drivers seat and baggers seat. · Pressurized cab, rubber mounted with sound insulation · Air conditioning with watercooled engine option and theromstatically contolled speed fan · 12 volt accessory power port installed in operators console · Sample bag storage under floor. Drive · 4 wheel drive. · Hydrostatic drive forward and reverse variable ground speed · 83 hp water-cooled diesel engine with electric start. · Oil cooling fan for hydraulics · Power steering · Electric clutch engagement · Hydraulic brakes · Large fuel tank, 35 gallon capacity Threshing · All metal raspbar type threshing cylinder · Hydraulically driven threshing cylinder with variable speed control from cab · Compressed air cleaning with driver control switches to fully clean out between plots · Concave Inspection access door · Quick adjust concave from operator's seat · Straw chopper Separation · Conveyor under concave for positive grain movement · Crop lifters to harvest lodged plots · Two sieve separation system for soybeans · Variable speed winnowing blower · Fixed curtains to prevent rebounding of seed Seed Handling · Weighting system equivalent to or exceeding the Harvest Master system including the harvest master grain gauge. Weighing system includes weighting electronics and software for single plot harvest and subsample collection. Allows samples and subsamples to be collected in the cab and excess grain to be returned to the grain tank. Must be compatible with Excel and use windows based operating system · Pneumatic grain delivery system to allow seed delivery for weighting or directly to grain tan · Large capacity hopper mounted outside the cab, with, hydraulic opener · Folding hopper mount for transport · Inside grain bagging of full samples or sub samples · 40-bu grain tank with unloading auger, hydraulic auger pivot and operation for transport Misc. · Front and rear lighting with flashers · Heavy duty frame construction · Hinged safety guards · Technical and operational manuals · Standard SAE bearing, belts and sprokets readily available at local automotive and farm supply stores throughout the USA · Delivery, setup and inspection This equipment shall be delivered F.O.B. Destination to the USDA, ARS, located in Stoneville, MS. "This procurement requires the use of biobased products to the extent that such products are reasonably available, meet agency or relevant industry performance standards, and are reasonably priced. Where available, these products should first be acquired from among qualified products that fall under the umbrella of items designated through the Federal Biobased Products Preferred Procurement Program (FB4P)" Equipment Line Items: UNIT NO. The warranty shall cover all parts, labor and material. Delivery of the unit by the instrument vendor must be within 30 days of award of contract. ALL RESPONSIBLE SOURCES MAY SUBMIT A BID FOR CONSIDERATION. Bid prices shall include all necessary labor, parts, materials, and transportation necessary to delivered FOB Destination a Plot combine to USDA, ARS, 141 Experiment Station Road, Stoneville, MS 38776. This contract incorporates one or more clauses by reference, with the same force and effect as if they were given in full text. Upon request, the Contracting Officer will make their full text available. Also, the full text of a clause may be accessed electronically at this/these address(es): www.arnet.gov/far/. All systems and components shall be provided with a one (1) year warranty from the time of owner's acceptance. The warranty shall cover all parts, labor and material.
