- This project is located on the Fishlake National Forest. PHASE I -Assist the Fishkake National Forest by entering 192 soil profile descriptions into the USDA-NRCS/NASIS database during 2008, 2009 and 2010. This information will be displayed as techincal Taxonomic Unit Descriptions (TUDs) in a MS word format. PHASE II - Provide 30 hours of informal training to Fishlake National Forest soil scientist during 3 different sessions which explain the following topics: 1) NASIS-an introduction to the soils database and 2) NASIS-Using intermediate commands and 3) NASIS- A refresher course about using the database for soil survey management. All of the work on this NASIS database project will take place in either Richfield, Cedar City or St. George, Utah. This project is estimated to be uploaded into FedBizopps approx. 8/21/2008. NOTE: Due to this year's fire season and the problem of paying for fire suppression costs, this project may not be awarded until after October 1, 2008.****
