- The Government is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) for the procurementof Supporting Arms Virtual Trainer (SAVT.The Supporting Arms Virtual Trainer (SAVT) system will be used to significantlyadvance the training capability, operational readiness, and tactical proficiencyof Joint Terminal Attack Controllers (JTACs), Forward Air Controllers (FACs),and Forward Observers (FOs)/Spotters personnel during day, dusk and nightoperations These personnel will utilize training scenarios that require theplacement of tactical ordnance on selected targets using approved Joint CloseAir Support (CAS) procedures and observed fire procedures for Naval Surface FireSupport (NSFS), Artillery and Mortar fire to perform destruction,neutralization, suppression, illumination / coordinated illumination,interdiction, and harassment fire missions.
