- Description
- Project Title: Upgrade Elevator Controls and Operators in Building 1 and 2.The Department of Veterans Affairs Healthcare System, 10000 Bay Pines Blvd, Bay Pines, Florida, 33744 anticipates soliciting and consequently awarding a contract for the construction project known as " Upgrade Elevator Controls and Operators in Building 1 and 2". The solicitation will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 14 (SEALED BIDDING) and 36 (Construction) and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures therein. Provide all labor, tools, material, equipment and supervision to furnish and install new elevator controls and operators in Bldg 1 and 2. The work will include any demolition, new equipment, hardware, paint, all electrical and controls conduit and wiring in accordance with plans and specifications. The location of the work will be at the above stated address. The period of performance shall be 360 calendar days. The solicitation documents including specifications and drawings will be issued on or about Friday Aug 15, 2008. Site visit information will be provided upon issuance of solicitation. Only one site visit is planned. Magnitude of Construction: $250,000.00 to $500,000.00. The North American Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 238290 - ($13 million). Important Information: The Government will in no way be obligated to issue a solicitation or award a contract for the aforementioned work, and is providing this as information only. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. Currently a Total Set-aside for Small Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) firms is anticipated. However, if interest by Small Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business firms proves inadequate, an alternate set-aside or full and open competition may be determined. Notice to Potential Offerors: All Offerors who provide goods or services to the United States Federal Government must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR located on the web at www.ccr.gov). It is desirable that any offeror to have completed their business Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA). Furthermore, to make award to a SDVOSB concern, the firm must also be registered with the VetBiz registry at vip.vetbiz.gov.
