- Description
- The Philadelphia VA Medical Center, Philadelphia, PA intends to enter into a sole source contract with ScriptPro, 5828 Reeds Road, Mission, Kansas 66202 to obtain two ScriptPro Robotic Pharmaceutical Dispensing Systems with 12 slot collating control centers (SP200/CCC) and one ScriptPro Robotic Pharmaceutical Dispensing System with collating control center (SP 50/CCC), together with related equipment and supplies. Due to unique capabilities of the ScriptPro system, it has been identified as the only system capable of fulfilling the Government's needs. Required system features include electronic signature capture, system for absolute avoidance of drug cross-contamination, capability to print auxiliary warnings on labels, automatic printing of line drawing and description of drug on label, system display of image of drug during all replenishment, return-to-stock and verification functions to ensure accuracy, automatic drug information updates performed by vendor, correct labeling of partial fills, universal drug cells that can handle all tablets and capsules with simple on-site adjustments by pharmacy staff and capability of accommodating all major vial makes and models, including newer cognitive and reversible safety cap designs. This announcement constitutes the only notice issued; a separate written solicitation will NOT be issued. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.301, only one responsible source and no other supplies and services will satisfy agency requirements. A justification for other than full and open competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Vendors offering systems including all features listed above and comparable to the ScriptPro systems are invited to respond to this notice by supplying descriptive information about their systems to the designated Contract Specialist not later than 4:00 pm (EDST) on August 21, 2008. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Response must be in writing to the Contracting Officer.
