- The full IDIQ contract will ultimately include four projects for which full designs will be provided and three Design-Build projects. The objective for the seven (7) Hunter Holms McGuire VA Medical Center campus improvements is to work closely with the property owners to implement cost efficient, effective, and enhancing repairs to designated parking lots, curbs, sidewalks, access ramps, patios, and floors associated with specific campus buildings. Some upgrading of security and safety parking lights to match style of existing street lights is involved. Additionally, HVAC cooling towers, air handlers, input and exhaust terminals, associated ducting lines, controls, and other components will be replaced or repaired at specified locations. During periods when an impacted buildings HVAC system is scheduled to be inoperative as these repairs and upgrades are being performed, temporary commercial air conditioning units of appropriate capacity will be provided to enable supported buildings to remain operational. The seed project will be determined with release of Solicitation. The total SATOC contract is for a base period plus four option periods that shall not exceed $10,000,000.00. The receipt date for bids is 22 September 2008 by 2:00pm. THIS IS A SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN SET-ASIDE PROCUREMENT. NAICS CODE 236210 applies to this procurement. Submission requirements (plans/specs) will be available on/about 21 August 2008 via Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps, https://www.fbo.gov). Search on W91236% for solicitations issued by Norfolk District. No hard copies will be available. Prospective contractors must be registered Vendors with https://www.fbo.gov in order to download plans and specifications. Prospective contractors must be registered in the DOD Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database in order to obtain access to FedBizOpps. CCR Registration must also be active and current to be eligible for contract award. Information on registration and annual confirmation requirements may be obtained by calling 1-888-227-2423 or via the Internet at http://www.bpn.gov.
