Description
The U.S. Coast Guard intends to procure maintenance and licenses for software for use on our Freedom of Information Cat (FOIA) Imaging System. This proposed procurement is for services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate on a sole source basis to: Global 360 BGS Inc. 3196 2911 Turtle Creek Blvd, Suite 1100, Dallas, TX 75219. SCOPE: 1.)Since the inception of the FOIA Imaging System (FIS) in the fall of 2000, Global 360 has provided a maintenance agreement and license package for the system. Included in this maintenance is all software upgrades and training for personnel. Because of their understanding of the required software, hardware configurations, and ownership of the product, we strongly request their services be retained. We currently have 18 licenses for the system. 2.)Global 360’s software is an integral part of the FOIA Imaging System. Without this platform we would be unable to create the imaging portion of the FOIA system. The system in place was designed be ATS in the year 2000. Advance Technology System utilized the Global 360 software to create the system. Note 22. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
