- Description
- The contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, transportation, supplies and incidentals necessary to construct 7.3 miles of the Continental Divide Trail, the centerline will be staked for the new construction. The standard trail tread width is 24 inches. The standard trail clearing limit is 6 feet wide by 8 feet high. The project is located on the Mt. Taylor Ranger District, Cibola National Forest, New Mexico. From Albuquerque take I-40 West 80 miles to Grants, NM. Once in Grants take Highway 547 Lobo Canyon Road until the pavement ends. Turn right on FR 193 and travel for approximately 5 miles. The Continental Divide Trail crosses this section of road twice. Off of FR 193 a small two track road will turn left towards Big Spring. Follow this road for approximately 1 mile until you come to a junction where the road splits. The trail construction will start 600 feet south of this junction in the road. The starting location is staked. This project is considered a Commercial Item Acquisition.
