- The Defense Distribution Center, New Cumberland, PA intends to award a sole source service contract to County of San Joaquin for the dumping and disposal of miscellaneous refuse delivered by the Defense Distribution Depot San Joaquin (DDJC) under simplified acquisition procedures and other than full and open competition, since the Foothill Sanitary Landfill is the only authorized landfill for acceptance of San Joaquin County refuse. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within 14 days after date of publication of this notice. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon written responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses shall be emailed to james.kruger@dla.mil
