- The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) intends to award a single source Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order to The Conference Board, 845 Third Ave, New York, NY 10022 to obtain membership for TSA participation within this non-profit organization. TSA is in the process of launching a Lean Six Sigma Program and membership in the Conference Board is a prerequisite for participationin the Conference Board's Conuncil for Six Sigma Executives. Benefits of this membership include: Becoming part of a global network; staying on top of best practices; gaining new insights on corporate values and ethics; and engaging with other organizations who are currently implementing Lean Six Sigma. The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or servises will satisfy agency requirements. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider any responses received by 12:00 PM EST Friday, August 22, 2008. A dertermination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competative procurement.
