- The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to issue a competitive 100 percent small business set-aside solicitation (Request for Quote /RFQ) for a contractor to provide on site 24 x7, 365 days preventative and remedial maintenance for Government owned Pagestream equipment located at the SSA National Computer Center (NCC) in Baltimore, MD. The equipment includes two (2) Oce North America Pagestream Model Twin 500 Printers (Serial Numbers: 46813/46960, 46959/46961), four (4) Stralfor High Speed Unwinders, Model 52 (Serial Numbers: 94056941, 980520111, 980520122, 90450141), two (2) Stralfor High Speed Rewinders, Model 102 (Serial Numbers: 981020041, 99102004). The contractor shall provide all necessary parts, labor, supplies, documentation, test equipment, transportation and other related services In the performance of onsite preventative and onsite remedial maintenance, the contractor shall use only that equipment which is certified, authorized, or otherwise approved by Oce. All technicians shall be Oce certified. SSA anticipates awarding a firm-fixed-price contract for this effort. The period of performance will be for one year (12 months in duration) with four 12-month option periods, if exercised. This procurement is 100% competitive set-aside under the Small Business Administration guidelines. This requirement will be procured utilizing procedures in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 – Acquisition of Commercial Items, Part 13.5 – Test Program for Certain Commercial Items and Part 19.5 – Set Asides for Small Business. The solicitation (SSA-RFQ-08-1748) will be issued on or about August 11, 2008. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 811212. The small business size standard is $23,000,000. Offers from other than those who qualify as small business under NAICS code 811212 will not be considered for award. The solicitation and any related documents for this procurement will be made available to interested parties through electronic media. The address for downloading via the internet at Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) is http://www.fedbizopps.gov. No paper copies of the solicitation will be made available. Potential offerors shall be responsible for monitoring the internet site for release of the solicitation, amendments (if any), and responses to any questions in accordance with the solicitation provision.
