- Preparation, Submission and Prosecution of a U.S. Patent Cooperative Agreement Application, U.S. National Stage Non-Provisional Patent Application and Petition for Accelerated Examination of a U.S. Non-Provisional Patent Application The Department of Commerce (DOC), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), has a requirement for legal services related to patents applications which includes necessary supporting prior art research, working with inventor(s) on patent applications, preparation, submission and prosecution of a U.S. PATENT COOPERATION TREATY (PCT) application and/or U.S. national stage non-provisional patent application or a petition for an accelerated examination of a U.S. non-provisional patent for specific technology categories. The period of performance for this fixed price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract with fixed price task orders issued is a base period with four (4) one year option periods. This requirement is being procured under the authority of the Federal Acquisitions Regulations Parts 12 and 13. The NAICS code for this requirement is 541199. The competitive Request for Quotes (RFQ) and any subsequent amendments, and questions and answers related to this procurement will be made available via the Internet at HTTP://WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV under the RFQ number SB1341-08-RQ-0184. The RFQ is anticipated for release to the vendor community on or about August 7, 2008, and will only be available via the Internet at the above website.
