- **********SEND ALL INFORMATION INCLUDING QUOTES AND TECHNICAL QUESTIONS IN WRITINGTO JUDITH DRABKIN AT Judith.R.Drabkin@nasa.gov; FAX: 256-544-4401*****************NASA/MSFC has a requirement for real-time systems to be used for the Ares Real-TimeEnvironment for Modeling, Integration, and Simulation (ARTEMIS) development in support ofthe System Integration Lab (SIL) under the Vehicle Integration project within the Ares Iprogram.NASA/MSFC intends to purchase the items from Concurrent Computer Corporation on a solesource basis.The real-time systems and the peripheral items associated with this order must bepurchased as an integrated solution from Concurrent Computer Corporation so that theperformance can be guaranteed.Also, compatibility with existing real-time systems mustbe maintained.Concurrent Computer Corporations RedHawk real-time operating system isthe real-time operating systems being used within the SIL and any subsequent real-timesystems must be purchased with this operating system. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to Judith Drabkin at Judith.R.Drabkin@nasa.gov; FAX: 256-544-4401 nolater than 4:30 p.m. CST on Thursday, August 14, 2008.Such capabilities/qualificationswill be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct thisprocurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to competethis proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to thisnotice, is solely within the discretion of the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.An Ombudsman has been appointed.
