THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial service items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Subpart 12.6 updated through FAC 05-26 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation No. BAQ080061 is issued as a Request for Quotes (RFQ). This document incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-26, and apply to this acquisition: 52.212-1 and 52.212-2. Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items, addendum to include FAR clauses 52.215-5 and 52.212-4. Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial items. This solicitation provided for full and open competition. Contractors submitting a quotation must be registered in the Central Contracting Registration web site. The address to register is www.ccr.gov. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541940, Veterinary ServicesREQUIREMENT: The Bureau of Land Management, Eagle Lake Field Office, CA has a requirement for the services of a veterinarian. They are needed for the castration of wild horses and burros at the Litchfield Wild Horse and Burro Facility, located at 474-000 Hwy 395 East, Litchfield, CA. Animals are to be castrated in a safe and humane manner as directed by the Program Manager. The Veterinarian is to furish all necessary drugs, supplies, medication and equipment for the safe and humane castration of animals. It is estimated that between 5 and 20 trips to the Litchfield Facility wil be required to castrate 75-300 head animals. NUMBERS MAY VARY DEPENDING ON THE AMOUNT OF WILD HORSES AND BURROS GATHERED AND CURRENT BLM POLICY RELATING TO THE CASTRATION OF ANIMALS. Starting on or about October 1, 2008 thru September 30, 2009.
