- The James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital, Tampa, FL is seeking potential sources capable of furnish all labor, materials, tools equipment and supervision necessary to provide collection, storage, removal, transportation, and disposal of regulated non hazardous waste (General Solid Waste) that is generated at the hospital (excludes hazardous waste). This also includes rental/disposal of a 30 cubic yard waste compactor and rental/disposal of 20-yard construction debris dumpsters (both contaminated and non-contaminated). The contractor shall comply with all current county or municipal, state, and federal laws, regulations and guidelines when collecting, storing, removing, transporting, disposing of and/or recycling all wastes. The contractor shall also provide containers on an as-required basis. The contractor must be authorized (franchised) to perform these services by the Hillsborough County Solid Waste Management Department throughout the effective period of this contract. NAICS for this requirement is 562111. This is a sources sought notice only. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced at a later date. This notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation. This notice is for the purpose of identifying potential qualified sources and their size classification. Responses to this notice should include the following: name and address of company; business size (large or small); identify whether or not firm falls into any of the socioeconomic categories; and identify if the firm is authorized (franchised) by the Hillsborough County Solid Waste Management Department. Responses to this notice are not considered adequate responses to any future solicitation announcements; are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this notice. Responses to this notice shall be e-mailed to carlos.morales1@va.gov. Telephone inquires will not be accepted. Responses must be received in writing no later than 3:00 p.m. EST, 25 August 2008.
