Description

This is a notice of intent to award a sole source simplified acquisition under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b) to Hewlett Packard (HP) Federal Relocation Team, HP Federal Technical Services, Bethesda, MD 20817 for relocation of Government-owned, HP and Sun maintained, computer systems and associated peripherals. HP must perform these services to maintain the warranty on all equipment. The services required are as follows: de-installation, packaging, and transporting, and delivery of the equipment. Additionally, HP will subcontract the Sun server portion of the relocation to Sun to avoid any (Sun) warranty issues. The Sun representative will perform the above services for the Sun equipment. The de-installation must be performed before August 29, 2008. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all proposals received by 1:00p.m. (Eastern Standard Time) August 22, 2008, will be considered by the Government. No RFQ package is available. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
