- Description
- The U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center has a requirement to procure technical and engineering support services to upgrade existing Technical Publications for the Fairbanks Morse Opposed Piston Engines used onboard the 378' WHEC and 140' WTGB Coast Guard vessels. It is the Government's belief that only Fairbanks Morse Engine, the Original Equipment Manufacturer, possesses all original technical and engineering documentation and OEM imposed modifications for this Engine to successfully upgrade Coast Guard publications therefore it is the Govermment's intent to solicit only Fairbanks Morse Engine for this requirement. The technical publications possessed by the Coast Guard cannot be released due to OEM proprietary data restrictions. Industry was giving the opportunity to submit their capabilites in the Sources Sought Notice published in FedBizOpps on August 13, 2008. This synopsis is issued pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 and HSAM 3006.302-1. Request for Quotation Number HSCG40-08-Q-60022 shall be available for download from FedBizOpps on or about August 27, 2008.
