- Description
- The Social Security Administration requires contractor provided services to relocate the existing outside air intake louver at the Harold Washington Social Security Center (HWSSC), 600 West Madison Street, Chicago, IL 60661. Contractor will be required to block off and seal existing louver and relocate the intake louver to the second floor mechanical room. This work shall include, but not be limited to: installing new floor openings and structural reinforcing; reworking existing ducts; disconnecting ducts from existing intake louvers; reconfiguring ducts above stairwell ceilings; removing and replacing existing ceilings and soffits as required; extending ducts through floor openings; tying-in ducts to the second floor mechanical room louver; patching all demolished or cut and patched areas to match existing, etc. Contractor shall be responsible for verifying all dimensions and existing conditions. Solicitation package and drawings will be available for downloading from the FedBizOpps website (http://www.fbo.gov) on or about Friday, August 22, 2008. No hardcopies of the solicitation package or drawings will be available. Site visit is scheduled for Thursday, August 28, 2008, at 10:00 AM CDT at the HWSSC. Offers will be accepted and considered from all responsible, responsive sources. This requirement is a total small business set-aside.
