Description
Sources Sought Notice for Request for Information (RFI) No. DOL08GRQ20010 The United States Department of Labor, Office of Inspector General (OIG), is conducting market research for a potential upcoming procurement requirement entitled “Credit Toward the Purchase of (Similar) and Other Networking Equipment”. This procurement requests the potential contractor to offer a trade in the form of a credit toward the purchase of (similar) other network equipment. The location of the current equipment eligible for trade-in is Washington, DC. The existing equipment identified for trade-in includes (a) One Cisco 3640 Router with WIC 1-T and IMA-card; (b) One Cisco 3845 Router with WIC cards and ATM card and additional network cards; (c) Seven Cisco 2620 Routers with WIC 1-T cards; (d) Several Cisco 1720 Routers with WIC 1-T and WIC 2-T cards; (e) Eighteen 3Com Courier 56K Modems; and (f) Six US Robotics V. Everything Modems. The anticipated solicitation for this requirement may be available on or about September 2, 2008 and will be distributed solely to interested parties. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. All qualified vendors including small businesses are invited to participate. Interested Contractors responding to this Request for Information (RFI No. DOL089GRQ20010) will be required to indicate their ability to fulfill all the requirements that are stipulated below: 1. ISO 9001 Certified. 2. Section 508 Compliant. 3. When an ordering activity determines that Information Technology equipment will be replaced, the ordering activity shall follow the contracting policies and procedures in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), the policies and procedures regarding disposition of information technology excess personal property in the Federal Property Management Regulations (FPMR) (41 CFR 101-43.6), and the policies and procedures on exchange/sale contained in the FPMR (41 CFR part 101-46). 4. Provide commercial products and services to ordering activities. 5. Demonstrate extensive experience with similar programs that have been successfully managed. 6. Provide evidence of being a GSA Schedule holder for this work All interested parties who believe they can provide the above mentioned information are invited to submit in writing, within 7 Calendar days of the publication of this sources sought notice, a package entitled “Statement of Qualifications / Capabilities Statement” (which must include the contractor’s indication of their ability to fulfill requirements 1-6 specifically stated above). The Statement of Qualifications / Capabilities Statement package must be transmitted under a cover letter. The Cover Letter must cite the following information at a minimum: 1.)Response to RFI No. DOL08GRQ20010; 2.)Vendor’s Company Name, Address, Contact Person Information; 3.)Vendor’s DUNS Number; 4.)Business Size Standard/Classification 5.) Brief Description of Existing Program 6.) Identify all Related Contracts Awarded by Other Government Agencies for a Similar Requirement The closing date for the receipt of responses is August 27, 2008, at 3:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. The government reserves the right to compete any acquisition resulting from this survey among small businesses or to make award to an 8 (a) firm, based on the responses received. This sources sought notice is for planning purposes only and does not commit the Government to pay for the information requested, issue a solicitation, or award a contract. No solicitation document exists at this time.
