- Description
- The purpose of this amendment is to document topics discussed at Site Visit of August 15, 2008 and make associated changes to the solicitation package. Prospective bidders are notified of the following: Purpose of this work is to protect habitat of endangered species. 1) Trees marked with yellow ribbons and all trees within the work zone that are greater than 10" in diameter shall not be damaged or disturbed. 2) No work shall take place within 50 feet of any tree marked with two white painted bands. 3) Slope specifications where trees greater than 10 " in diameter will potential be disturbed can be modified in order to protect the stability of the tree. 4) Awardee is responsible for survey work required by the specifications. 5) Woody debris can be piled as a brush barrier perpendicular in the gully. Changes specific to Site T2: a) Delete CS-11 - Removal of Water - from Attachment 6. b)Quantity identified in CS-400 Erosion Control Blanket should read 1520sy. Changes specific to Site Concord Strip: a) Unit designation for Bid Item 9 in the Bid Schedule should read Sq Yd rather than Lump Sum. b) Replace the Georgia State supplement for CS 6 -Seeding, Sprigging, and Mulching with the attached specification dated 2008-08-14. Add the following provision 52.228-1 "Bid Guarantee (Sep 1996)" Note paragraph (c) The amount of the bid guarantee shall be 20% percent of the bid price or $30,000, whichever is less.
